The culture room

Update from the road! I'm posting from the Weston Amerisuites in Ft. Lauderdale, FL thanx to Heather's laptop and a great Wi-Fi connection here on the 3rd floor.

We went to the "The Sounds" and "Morningwood" show at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale last night. Great little rock club! I would recommend it to anyone who likes alternative rock. Staff was super friendly and they book the newest and best bands. They have an upstairs balcony where you can get a good high side view without any VIP type stuff. Anyways, Morningwood was great. The lead singer Chantel Claret was full of energy and did alot of crazy stage stunts like pom poms and playing with a hobbie horse and shaking and girating all around and jumping into the crowd and jumping on guys and wrapping her legs around them while she sang. Very entertaining!

Also The Sounds were the headliners. They were really good as well and a little more "sophisticated". Very "Blondie" sounding band, good stuff. Buy both of these albums! The chicks are back!

Miami

Some palm trees off of the A1A in Ft. Lauderdale. We had a great time today, beautiful beaches, cool people. We all got sunburned and I got a new shark tooth necklace. Ate lunch at a little bistro by the infamous Elbow Room then walked around to a few of the shops. Probably going to South Beach tonight for some "A List" schmoozing... or maybe not. Heather is too sunburnt, and I don't know if I wanna go by myself... We'll see.
